The Honda CR-V remains unchanged entering 2000 and is again available in three models - Honda LX 2WD, LX 4WD and EX 4WD. 4WD models feature Honda's CR-V Real Time four-wheel drive system, which automatically engages to power all four wheels in the case of front-wheel slippage. Standard equipment on all models includes an AM/FM stereo with cassette, cruise control, power outlets and power door locks, windows and mirrors. 
The Honda CR-V EX upgrades by adding a keyless remote entry system, alloy wheels, an AM/FM stereo with CD, anti-lock brakes and color-keyed mirrors and door handles. Available dealer-installed options include a security system, a CD changer, 
roof rack attachments, fog lights and a 
trailer hitch. A Gold Emblem Kit is also available after-market 
for the Honda CR-V.
