The Honda Passport is a 4-door, 5-passenger midsize SUV available in six trims, ranging from the Passport 2WD LX to 4WD EX-L. The Honda Passport's closest competitors include the Nissan Pathfinder, Dodge Durango and Ford Explorer. Upon introduction, all trims are equipped with a standard 3.2-liter, V6, 205-horsepower engine that consumes 16-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. All trims are equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and hill logic control except for the Honda Passport LX trims, which are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The Honda Passport is a carryover from 1999. Minor changes include new front and rear fascias, a modified grille and front combination lamps.
